A Career in the NHS

Come along and learn about all the different NHS roles open to you at this session.

NHS Careers Session

Have you ever thought about joining the 5th largest employer in the world? The NHS is currently celebrating its 74th birthday and we’d like to invite you to a session where you can learn more about the 350+ careers on offer. These include Catering, I.T., Management, Domestic staff, Nursing, Physiotherapy, and many more clinical and non-clinical roles. You do not need higher education for some jobs/careers. Come along and learn about how there are lots of ways into gaining a degree without the fulltime, financial worry of university.

The NHS offers secure jobs with internal and external transfers within job roles if required, flexible working in most roles, health and well-being offers (like free gym membership for example). There’s also great holiday with increases after both 5 and 10 years of service.

Come along and meet Gemma Sewell, an NHS professional who will share her career pathway so far. She will explain how she got into it, what she had before, what she needed and where she is now. Gemma is a nurse by background who had little qualifications beforehand, and she will guide you through this taster session all about working for the NHS. A relaxed session, there will plenty of opportunity for you to ask questions.
